The hips and waistline. The skirt must stretch significantly to pull up over the widest part of the hips and buttocks. A generous amount of silicone dressing aid (lube) or talcum powder must be applied to the interior, concentrating on the waist opening and hip seams, to prevent excessive friction and seam stress.
Ensure a proper fit and use adhesive/lube. If the skirt is too tight or too loose, it may roll. Assuming the fit is correct, a small bead of latex adhesive (e.g., body glue) applied lightly to the skin inside the waistline can prevent rolling. Alternatively, ensuring the latex is properly polished/lubed externally can also reduce sticking and friction that causes rolling.
Regular silicone oil for the zip, and isolate all metal. Regularly apply a small amount of silicone oil (not dressing lube) directly to the zipper teeth for smooth function. When storing, ensure any metal buttons, snaps, or decorative zippers are isolated or wrapped with acid-free tissue paper to prevent metal-induced staining.
Hang using rubber clips, or roll gently. Never fold latex sharply at the waistband or hem. If hanging, use wide rubber-coated clips on a non-metal hanger to secure the skirt at the waistline. Ensure the item is completely dry and powdered/polished, and store it inside an opaque storage bag away from light and heat.
